Harare, Zimbabwe, 5 April 2013 - The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and its partners in Zimbabwe are today observing the milestone of 1,000 days to the end of 2015 – the target date for achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Mexico City, 14 March 2013—Sub-Saharan Africa can achieve higher levels of human development if it deepens its engagement with other regions of the South, according to the 2013 Human Development Report, which is being officially launched today by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)  Administrator Helen Clark and President of Mexico Enrique Pena Nieto in Mexico City.

Geneva —The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) today announced the addition of more world-renowned footballers – including Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon, Djalma Feitosa Dia of Brazil, Fernando Hierro of Spain and Fernando Couto of Portugal – to the already star-studded team which will play in UNDP’s 10th Annual Match Against Poverty.

Harare, 21  November 2012:  In an effort to accelerate progress towards attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the Government of Zimbabwe in conjunction with the United Nations Development Programme and Development Reality Institute (DRI) are launching a new and exciting online platform on the MDGs.
