Objective: Project to support PRF’s activities relating to advocacy for pro-poor, gender sensitive and Pro MDG national budgeting. Overall, the project supports pro-poor policy formulation and related capacity building within the Ministry of Public Service Labour and Social Welfare, civil society, research and academic institutions.
Description/Summary: Project supports the PRF to produce and disseminate biennial National Human Development Reports (theme being Gender and Development) aimed at enhancing human development knowledge and use in policy making.
Target Beneficiaries: Policy makers primarily within Government, civil society organisations, and private sector. Other beneficiaries are academic institutions, Research institutions, and Researchers.
Location: Nationwide
Achievements: The current ZHDR on Gender is still being prepared, however the ZHDR 2003 on HIV and AIDS can be taken as a major achievement that helped evidence based policy making in Zimbabwe
