Gender Equality and Women Empowerment

The project supports the participation and strategic representation of women in the constitutional process and the country's development agenda.

Development Objectives:
Promoting gender equality and women empowerment as per the Gender Equality Strategy 2008- 2013, the ZUNDAF, CEDAW, MDG 3, and the CPAP. The intervention in this area is also guided by national and regional instruments such as the National Gender Policy and the  SADC Gender and Development Protocol of 2008.  Efforts are being made to mainstream gender in all UNDP practice areas.
