The LLER project is a three pronged inter-connected and mutually supportive intervention that is conflict and disaster risk reduction sensitive and based on the principles of participation, inclusiveness and integration. In all its implementation, the LLER project targets the most vulnerable segments of the population including women, youths, the disabled and people living with HIV and AIDS, and seeks to strengthen partnerships and capacity development for long-term recovery.
UNDAF Outcome: Enhanced national capacity and ownership of development processes towards the attainment of the MDGs by 2015. Expected Country Programme Outcome: Enhanced sustainable livelihoods and recover and disaster risk reduction integrated in development planning. The LLER project’s expected outputs are summarised below
